This is a great step forward in Prolam's production capabilities being faster, having more precised cutting and for overall efficiency gains, enabling Prolam glulam as the industry leading structural timber product.

Choose responsibly

In New Zealand, the construction industry is responsible for about 17.9% of greenhouse gas emissions (Source stats.govt.nz 2018).
To help reduce these emissions, we can choose timber as the preferred building material.
Beautiful, versatile and cost-effective, Prolam glulam is perfect for private, commercial and bigger scale industrial building projects. With superior thermal, acoustic and load-bearing properties, it is the perfect companion for your project.

Sustainability

Since 2019 Prowood are pleased to use new 100% recyclable film to reduce the impact of pollution in the environment. There are 3 plants in NZ who recycle this product.

The Supplier commented that "they have found that being able to recycle and make something new is preferable to the plastics that degrade.

With the plastics that degrade quickly Ethelene is given off to the atmosphere also the plastic breaks down into microplastics which is what is contaminating our food”
