John Woodman
Managing Director
John started Prolam in 2002 after spending the first 18 years of his working life at Motueka Lumber as their Operations manager. John has the vision and inspiration that has caused Prolam to evolve with the times and the years, and become the preferred supplier of laminated timber throughout New Zealand. He cares about his team and is a motivating role model.

Rachel Woodman
Logistics
Rachel started with Prolam back in 2011, fresh from another local timber company.
She was recruited by her brother John, as production planner and accounts manager.
Rachel is a valuable team member that we could not do without.
She makes sure we have enough feedstock to manufacture the products our customers require and sees the production through to completion.
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her extended family and on her Christian faith.

Fred Smith
Procurement
My role here has been looking after the marketing and i have now moved on to a Procurement and Supply Chain role.
I also work with analysis of performance recoveries and collaboration with suppliers. I am passionate about these roles – as I sincerely believe that Prolam as a brand has a lot of value. After having been living in Europe for 11 years I find the team culture both refreshing and inspiring as well as community, family and trust oriented – it is good to be back!
My personal interests are based around my wife and our 3 children. We love to get out and about, we love to explore our region and consciously enjoy the wonderful simplicities that I used to take for granted. All in a country that is clean and green and cares for kids, and where everyone smiles!

Reuben Woodman
Sales Manager
Reuben heads up the Prolam sales team, dealing with National Key accounts and Area manager.
With a previous job in the Timber industry, Reuben brings his knowledge and experience to the Team to provide innovative solutions to our customer’s needs.
Being an active person, in his spare time he likes getting outdoors and keeping fit, exploring new trails and places to travel.

Owen Smith
Production Coordinator LSV Site
Owen has been an integral part of the Prowood Team since 2009, bringing valuable knowledge from many years involvement in the Civil construction and Building Industry. Beginning as Factory Manager for 5 years, then working into sales and Technical support, Owen has a comprehensive knowledge of the Laminating process, and engineered product applications and he is our Production Manager today.

Burkley Woodman
IT and Systems
Burkley joined us this year fresh from school into an IT and Systems role.
Already he has proven to be an essential team member helping the entire team adjust to new systems and technology.

Emmerson Deck
Account Manager
Emmerson joined Prolam in November 2017. He is an Account Manager for the Lower North Island, Upper South Island & Southland.
Emmerson enjoys working with a passionate, tight knit team, providing innovative engineered structural timber, to the ever growing New Zealand building industry.
He likes cycling, and hiking in the spectacular national parks surrounding the beautiful Nelson/Tasman area.

Zubin Karami
Structural Engineer
Zubin recently joined our team as a structural engineer. He is currently involved in research and development for new products such as PLX20, as well as providing technical support to customers.

Peter Moffatt
Production Manager WW Site
Pete has been with Prolam for 8 Years. As the Operations Manager, he is responsible for all Health and Safety, Human Resources, Quality and Production within Prolam.
He has had over 30 years’ experience in the timber industry ranging in all aspects including: Timber Machining, Finger Jointing, Kiln Drying, Treatment and has a vast knowledge in timber laminating.
Pete is a qualified Timber Machinist with Advanced trade, and a qualified Assessor in the timber industry.
Pete enjoys hunting, camping, fishing, spending time with family, and knocking his property into shape.
He believes “there is never a problem that can’t be solved, It is more like a challenge to work through to make life easier.”

Ebony Wood
Marketing Assistant
Ebony started with us in early 2019, with the role of customer service and stock control.
She enjoys helping customers out of any situation, providing them with an answer when they need it.
In her spare time, Ebony enjoys playing the piano, reading books and exploring the local area with her family.
She believes the only stupid question is one you don’t ask, so give us a call if you have any questions.

Sales Support
Lyla enjoys a new challenge and loves helping out our customers over the phone. She is also taking on the role of Accounts Payable and help out with our sales and accounts team. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors, caring for animals and has a passion for cars.

Customer Service & Dispatch
Ruth has recently joined the Prowood team and has stepped in with the costumer service team, she also helps manage the day to day process of dispatch. People find her to be an upbeat and self-motivated, dedicated to achieving goals in a timely manner. Ruth is very excited to be a part of rapidly growing organization and looking forward for more years with this stable company.

Administration and Stock Control
Jirawan started with us at the end of 2019 as the first user of our brand new stock processing system.
Her busy routine now involves stock control, order entering and many administration tasks.
We find her to be a joy to work with and she is an indispensable member of our team.

Wesley Verboom
Factory Supervisor
Wesley has been with Prolam for the past 5 years. He previously worked in a rental industry, in Holland for 6 years.
He enjoys woodwork, football, family time and going out to explore the beautiful places in New Zealand.
Wesley’s day to day work is looking after the production team, sorting staff H&S issues, staff training and assisting where needed.
He believes “Constant growth of the company keeps me motivated to do my job together with the team, and achieve bigger goals to supply the customer in the best way.”

Chloe Toniza
Administration
Chloe became a part of the Prolam team in July 2017. Jumping straight into the upbeat schedule at our Little Sydney Valley site Chloe’s role now covers customer service, administration and inwards and outwards timber. She has become of huge value to Prolam overseeing daily administration for this site.
Chloe is excited to see the growth of our organization and she’s looking forward for more years being part of it.

Accounts Receivable
Justine became part of the Prolam NZ team early 2012 as customer service and has taken a role of Accounts Receivable. She is enjoying working with the crew contributing to the continual developments at Prolam, and hoping to move towards a marketing role.
